We would like to show you the kind of work we do at our little rescue so here's Alice's story.
We were contacted by Alice’s previous owner to ask for advice on what to do with Alice as she at the time thought she had been bitten by the ladies other guinea pig. We only had one piece of advice… she needed urgent vet treatment. The previous owner had her living in a washing basket and was trying all sorts of remedies to help as she couldn’t afford the vet care, we begged her to surrender her so we could get her the help she needed.
Once she arrived we got immediate vet care. The issue wasn’t a bite as the previous owner had assumed, it was mites and a fungal infection. As Alice had been left untreated for an extremely long period of time her condition had got very serious.
The treatment was absolutely horrendous.. touching Alice was in its self extremely uncomfortable for her. And to have to bath her every 3 days and change her little sock jumpers daily was heart breaking but we knew we couldn’t give up on her she had so much life in her and such a HUGE appetite. I remember times when I was bathing her and crying myself at the same hoping and praying that sometime soon she would start to feel better it took us months of treatment to get her better.
On the hard days of rescue when we wonder if we can carry on doing what we do we think of Alice and we know we have to keep going

Our vital work can only continue with the help of public donations. Currently our funds are being eaten away and we’re struggling to keep money in the bank for the amount of vet fees coming out, we understand the time of year and things are tight but even £1 helps us
If you’d like to make a donation you can do via:
PayPal
Or via our bank with a transfer or standing order
